Whitaker Cadre, the local letting agency, have two good reasons to celebrate. Not only can company founder Brian Whitaker and his experienced team reflect on a very successful first year in business, but they are soon to move across Ilkley into a new, larger premises, at The Point on Lower Railway Road.
“We would like to say a big thank you to all our landlords for choosing Whitaker Cadre and being a vital part of our success,” said Brian. “We appreciate and value our clients’ support and we are pleased to report that things are going well. The business continues to go from strength to strength and we are letting and managing ever more properties in the local area.”
Brian puts the success of Whitaker Cadre down to making good on a promise made when the business first opened its doors, to be a proper ‘local’ letting agent – with a friendly, approachable team that knows the area and really understands and cares about what the customer wants.
The team at Whitaker Cadre – Brian, along with lettings manager, Alison Lilly, and recently appointed property manager Jane Knowles-Bristow, have a combined wealth of experience and knowledge of the local letting sector which is second to none.
Since starting Whitaker Cadre last summer, the company gained the confidence of many in the local letting sector, resulting in the company recording what was, in February, their then best-ever month.
Then came the pandemic restrictions, with Brian, Alison and Jane all working from home. The business continued to do well and with the implementation of online virtual viewings, June and July were very busy months.
“Lockdown came just has we had started to build great momentum, but as the changes start to take effect, it gave us the opportunity to reflect and to look at the business, and we realised that if we were to grow further, we would need more space,” said Brian.
“We have enjoyed our time at the office in Church Street, but the move to The Point is the right move for us. Moving to a larger building, which offers plenty of space, allows all of us to be in the office at the same time. This means we are able to maintain the high standards of service our clients have come to expect. A further advantage is that we will be able to offer client parking, too.”
Brian puts the success of Whitaker Cadre down to good old-fashioned quality service and engaging with his clients: “The team’s long history of working in the local area is important, too. Local landlords like to know who they are dealing with and who to call if they have queries or a problem that needs solving. They are always welcome to pop into the office to see us”.
With a successful first year behind them the future is indeed looking bright for Whitaker Cadre. Brian, Alison and Jane are looking forward to working with current clients, while welcoming on board new landlords, who are looking for a high quality, professional lettings agency, which the name Whitaker Cadre is now synonymous with.
Whitaker Cadre move to their spacious new offices at The Point at the end of August, until then clients can continue to visit them at their Church Street offices.
